Brent Weil has served in resident care for over 25 years and is the President and CEO of EmpRes Healthcare. He joined EmpRes in 2011 as Chief Operations Officer and was made President in 2015. His career in healthcare began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a skilled nursing facility in Ogden, Utah; and later, Administrator of Aspen Care Center. Before joining EmpRes, Mr. Weil most recently served Sun Healthcare Group as Divisional Vice President, where he oversaw the company’s western operations.
Mr. Weil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Weber State University.

Bill Miller started his career in healthcare by working in laundry and maintenance for a small nursing home in Ogden, Utah. He joined EmpRes in 2011 as Regional Vice President before becoming Vice President of Operations in 2015. In 2016, he was promoted to Chief Operations Officer. Before joining EmpRes he worked as an Executive Director, and later Regional Vice President, for Peak Medical.
Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration and Long Term Care Administration from Weber State University.

Mike Miller has been with EmpRes Healthcare for over 15 years and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His career in finance includes a number of private companies, his roles ranging from planning and budgeting, operational finance, and accounting. Before joining EmpRes, Mr. Miller worked for Main Hurdman, an international CPA firm, where he obtained his CPA certificate.
Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Arizona.

and General Counsel
Jonathan Allred’s 30-year career in the legal profession began at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn, LLP in Portland, Oregon, where he practiced complex commercial litigation in state and federal court. He currently serves EmpRes Healthcare as Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining EmpRes, Jonathan held the position of President and General Counsel for Starks, Inc., where he led strategic planning, legal, and operations for the company.
Mr. Allred holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University, a Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Portland State University.
Chief Compliance Officer
Jared Jacobs joined EmpRes Healthcare as Compliance Officer in 2011. His career in healthcare began 17 years ago as a nursing assistant. He later held positions as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), and an Administrator of a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. Before joining EmpRes Healthcare, he worked in regional positions as Regional Director of Clinical Operations and later Regional Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Jacobs holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Long Term Care Administration, both from Weber State University.
Vice President of Human Resources
Cindy Cour joined EmpRes Healthcare in 2006, moving on to become Vice President of Human Resources in 2015. Her career in human resources began 25 years ago at Morrison Child and Family Services in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her career, she has had an emphasis in employee relations, discrimination claims, and onboarding.
Tom Rollins, RN/BSN
Vice President of Clinical Services
Tom Rollins joined EmpRes Healthcare in 2013 as Vice President of Clinical Services. He has more than 25 years of experience in the nursing field, starting his career as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and moving on to become a Director of Nursing Services (DNS), a Nurse Consultant, and Senior Director of Nursing Services. He has worked with several providers of long term care, including Sun Healthcare and Prestige Healthcare.
Mr. Rollins holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Iowa.
Vice President of Procurement
and Nutrition Services
Pat Dahlstrom has been with EmpRes since 1999 and is responsible for leading the procurement ares, which also includes oversight of the Food and Nutrition Services Department. In her 30+ year career in long term care she has worked with Beverly Enterprises and owned her own dietary consulting business.
Mrs. Dahlstrom is active in public organizations, including being a past national chair for Dietetics in Health Care Communities. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Institution Management from Oregon State University and completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School.
Deb Sanderfield-Hoven, RRT
Vice President of Network Innovations
Deb joined EmpRes Healthcare in 2014 with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career at University Hospital in Denver, Colorado as a Respiratory Therapist and then moved into long term care rehabilitation. Her career has taken her into clinical compliance, sales and marketing, managed care contracting, center operations, and clinical reimbursement. She spent 10 years leading the Clinical Reimbursement department for SunBridge Healthcare and has worked at Life Care Centers of America and Kindred Healthcare.
