Brent Weil became President and Chief Executive Officer of EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. in April 2016. Mr. Weil served as Chief Operations Officer at EmpRes starting in July 2011 and was made President in 2015. Mr. Weil’s 20 year career in patient care began as a Nursing Home Administrator. He then joined Peak Medical in 1998 as Regional Vice President responsible for 18 centers in four states.
Prior to joining EmpRes Healthcare, Mr. Weil served as Regional Vice President of Operations for Sun Healthcare Group before being promoted to Divisional Vice President of Operations where he oversaw the company’s western operations. Mr. Weil had oversight of 61 skilled nursing centers, two acute rehabilitation hospitals and one behavioral health hospital.
Mr. Weil received his Bachelors of Science in Health Services Administration from Weber State University.
Bill Miller is the Chief Operations Officer at EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. Mr. Miller started his career in 1993 in Laundry and Maintenance in a small nursing home in downtown Ogden Utah. He joined Peak Medical in 2002 as Executive Director in Rexburg and Twin Falls Idaho. In 2008 he was promoted to Regional Vice President with 11 centers in Washington and Montana. Mr. Miller joined EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. in November 2011 as Regional Vice President of 9 centers for the Greater Seattle area. He was promoted to VP of Operations in August 2015 and to the Chief Operations Officer role in April 2016.
Mr. Miller graduated from Weber State University in 2002 with a degree in Health Administration Services and Long Term Care Administration.
Mike Miller is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. Previously Mr. Miller was the Controller of EHC Financial Services. Mr. Miller was involved with managing the accounting, billing and collections, treasury, and IT activities at Evergreen Healthcare. Mr. Miller’s career includes over 15 years in a number of other private companies with planning and budgeting, operational finance and accounting positions.
Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting. Following graduation, he worked for Main Hurdman, an international CPA firm, obtaining his CPA certificate in 1982.
Jonathan Allred is the Vice President and General Counsel at EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. Mr. Allred’s 30 year career in the legal profession began at Miller Nash, LLP in Portland, Oregon where he practiced complex commercial litigation in state and federal court with an emphasis in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, and insurance defense.
Prior to joining EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC., Mr. Allred held the position of President and General Counsel for Starks, Inc. where he led strategic planning, legal and operations for the company. Mr. Allred has a Bachelor of Arts from BYU; a Juris Doctor, cum laude from BYU, and a Master of Business Administration from Portland State University.
Chris Hansen joined EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. in May 2015. Mr. Hansen is a tenured healthcare executive who brings to EmpRes more than 25 years of experience in the management of Accounting, Finance, and Reimbursement functions of skilled nursing companies.
Mr. Hansen has been very involved in the drafting, lobbying, and passage of legislation that has impacted Medicaid Reimbursement for several states in the Western US. He was involved in the operations finance functions for centers in multiple states.
Mr. Hansen has been a member of healthcare associations in 20 states and helped guide reimbursement methodology to enhance the ability of companies caring for our most frail residents. He has worked at Kindred Healthcare, Integrated Health Services, Britwill Healthcare, and Preferred Care.
Mr. Hansen graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.
Tom Rollins joined EmpRes Healthcare in March 2013 as Vice President of Clinical Services. Mr. Rollins has more than 24 years of experience in nursing. He began his career as a certified nursing assistant and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Director of Nursing Services, Nurse Consultant, Senior Director of Clinical Services with ABCM Corporation, Sun Healthcare and Prestige Healthcare - all providers of long term care.
Cindy Cour is the VP of Human Resources of EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC. She has been working in the HR department since 2006. Ms. Cour’s career in human resources began 25 years ago at Morrison Child and Family Services in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her career, she has had an emphasis in employee relations, discrimination claims and onboarding.
Jared Jacobs became the Compliance Officer of EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC in December of 2011. He began his career in health care 17 years ago as a nursing assistant. Mr. Jacobs later held positions as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, and Administrator of a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility.
Prior to joining EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC, he also worked in regional positions as a Regional Director of Clinical Operations and later as Regional Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Jacobs is a graduate of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He received his Associate of Science in Nursing and later graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Long Term Care Administration.
Pat Dahlstrom is the Vice President of Food and Nutrition Services for EmpRes Healthcare. She has been in this position since 1999 and is responsible for creating and building the department. In her over 30 year career in Long Term Care, she has also worked for Beverly Enterprises and owned her own dietary consulting business.
Ms. Dahlstrom completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Institution Management from Oregon State University. Ms. Dahlstrom has been very active in her professional organizations, including being past chair for Dietetics in Health Care Communities, a 3500 member group of dietitians primarily working in Long Term Care.
Chris Coyle started his healthcare career 20 years ago at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM where he worked as a Physical Therapy Technician. Mr. Coyle has worked as a Physical Therapist, Rehabilitation Manager, Nursing Home Administrator, and a Regional Vice President prior to becoming the Director of Therapy Services for EmpRes Healthcare in October 2011. Mr. Coyle graduated from the Univeristy of New Mexico. He received his degree in Physical Therapy in 1996.
Deb Sanderfield-Hoven joined EmpRes Healthcare in May 2014, as the Vice President of Network Innovations. Mrs. Sanderfield-Hoven has more than 20 years experience in healthcare. She began her career at University Hospital in Denver as a Respiratory Therapist and then moved into LTC in rehabilitation. Her career took her into clinical compliance, sales/marketing, managed care contracting, center operations, and clinical reimbursement. She spent ten years leading the Clinical Reimbursement department for SunBridge Healthcare prior to joining EmpRes Healthcare. She has worked at Life Care Centers of America and Kindred Healthcare - also providers in long term care.
